Welcome To the Community Center!

The Community Center at Chatham is a place for people to gather, learn and have a good time.  We offer programs and classes in a variety of subjects, music programs and also have a variety of meeting space to suit most groups. Our mission is to  be a part of the community and surrounding areas.  We hope to have an impact on the region by offering a variety of  business, educational and recreational opportunities that contribute to the overall health, education, and well-being of our community. If you have not seen our facility yet, come in and have a look around. Our Fitness programs are very popular, we serve Bluegrass on Thursday nights and hold an Open Mic night each last Saturday that attracts some of our best local talent.

This summer we are offering a casual Adult Lecture Series on Thursday mornings at 9:30 AM, beginning the week of June 18th with a visit from Mr. Warren Landis, from Strawberry Creek Farms.  He will discuss organic gardening, and small container gardens. On June 25, John Zelinski will discuss “Medicare & You”.

Also, thanks to a grant award from the Community Foundation of the Dan River Region we are holding Graphics Arts/Photography Summer Camps for students. Sessions are available for grade school, middle school and high school students respectively. Our programs are available to all persons regardless of age, gender, race, religion, or national origin.

Each of our rooms are available for private rental, and the Community Center has served over 2200 people in private events since we opened our doors. Events have ranged from Baby Showers to workshops and weddings.  If you need more infomation on facility rental please refer to the Building Use Page.
